Your guide will pick you up from your hotel or selected location at 4:00 p.m. It is time for the first destination: Palermo: Buenos Aires most hip neighborhood. First, we will take you to Bosque de Palermo: a delightful, wide park where many Argentineans go to to relax, jog, roller skate or just stroll with the family. Here, we will visit the stunning Rose Garden, where you can enjoy many different types of roses. In this park, the guide will sit down with you to drink some yerba mate. He will prepare it for you and explain its history and customs. After this stop, your tour guide will take you to Palermo Soho where he will show you the most trendy little shops and bars. This way, you will get to really experience this vibrant neighbourhood.

Recoleta

You will head on to your second destination: Recoleta. You will get to know this elegant, exclusive neighborhood by walking through its most classic streets. You will also make a stop to visit the Cemetery of Recoleta. Here, you will visit the graves of Argentina’s most famous, for example, Evita and various former presidents. La Boca

This visit will end with a stop at Puerto Madero, the old harbor that has been rebuilt and developed into a fancy neighborhood. Here you will go to the bridge Puente de la Mujer, an ideal place to take pictures and have a look over the water. You will cross the water and walk to Costanera Sur, a broad avenue at the water side of the ecological park. This avenue is packed with food trucks which offer Argentine’s traditional asado (BBQ). Here, you will really experience how Argentineans eat their meat. Try Argentine classics like the famous sandwich de lomo (tenderloin sandwich) or the chorizo sausages with the chimichurri sauce!

San Telmo

You will now go to your fourth destination: San Telmo, the oldest residential area of Buenos Aires with charming streets, little, coloured houses and a Bohemian vibe. You will also visit the San Telmo inside market, a typical market where all the locals go to to buy groceries but that is also full with antique and vintage stands. Furthermore, the guide will show you the surprising street art which is typical for this neighborhood.

Microcentro

It is time now to visit the final destination: Microcentro. Here, you will get to know the historical centre of Buenos Aires. You will go to the famous public square Plaza de Mayo where many historical events took place: for example the weekly marches of the “grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo”. You will see Casa Rosada (the pink government building), a beautiful Cathedral and colonial architecture. Now, relax with a visit to the café Tortini: a classic, charming café that was inaugurated by French immigrants. Here you can enjoy a coffee and eat some sweet pastries as dessert. This tour will end with a visit to a famous tango show at La Ventana. Here you will get to know one of Argentina’s biggest passions, a sensual and passionate dance and a must ‘have to see’. Tango started in working-class port neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires from the mid 19th century and has influences from African and European culture. From the early 20th century, the tango craze spread to Europe and since then, tango has been loved and admired all around the world. You will go to a tango show with 32 artists in the heart of San Telmo. You will see a wide range of Argentine culture: a folk-band, gaucho-cowboys, authentic tango dancing and singing: a real spectacle!
